Product Goals

One active goal set, every prior cycle kept intact

Product Goals gives a team one structured home for what it is trying to achieve. Exactly one goal set is active at a time; activating the next cycle moves the previous one to Historical in the same atomic step, so the record of what you committed to last quarter is never overwritten. Goals are stored canonically and displayed in your team's tracking framework — OKRs, SMART, North Star, or Balanced Scorecard change the labels on the form, never the data underneath, so two teams on different frameworks can still be compared.

Key Features

Exactly one active goal set, enforced atomically — never zero, never two

Historical goal sets are read-only at the data layer, not just in the UI

Five tracking frameworks that relabel the form without forking the data

Import goals forward from the previous cycle, with status and confidence reset

Field-level comparison between any two goal sets, including metric deltas

Advisory AI rewrite and quality check that never block a save or an activation

Read-only stakeholder access through ordinary workspace participation

How It Works

1

Create a goal set

Name the cycle, set its time horizon, and pick the tracking framework your team already uses.

2

Add your goals

Fill in outcomes, metrics and targets. The AI helper can rewrite or quality-check a goal — advisory only.

3

Activate the cycle

Promote the draft to Active. The previous set becomes Historical in the same transaction, with an audit note.

4

Compare and review

Diff any two cycles field by field, and share the active set read-only with stakeholders.

When to Use It

Quarterly or annual planning cycles with a preserved history

Executive review of what a team committed to and how it has changed

Cross-team goal comparison when teams use different frameworks

Keeping roadmap work anchored to the goals it is supposed to serve
